Always wait until the gel is dry, though it does not have to be fully cured for such a light wash. This piece has long been covered over with layer after layer of paint for demonstrations. Nice to look back to the early parts of the process.
THE (mostly) DAILY DETAIL
I get really jazzed over the little details in artwork. In the process of working, and sometimes long after a piece is finished, there are these small areas that grab me, draw me in, entrance me. It could be the way a texture has been wrought, or how the colours shimmer next to one another, or how quiet the space feels when I focus on it.
