Buffing the graphite, be it paint or line or powder, brings out the mercury like sheen, and rubbing it onto an painted acrylic surface (most effective on matte or semi-gloss) defines the finest details in the brushstroke and texture of the surface. I really dig this stuff.
THE (mostly) DAILY DETAIL
I get really jazzed over the little details in artwork. In the process of working, and sometimes long after a piece is finished, there are these small areas that grab me, draw me in, entrance me. It could be the way a texture has been wrought, or how the colours shimmer next to one another, or how quiet the space feels when I focus on it.
