Most pieces I have been working on have multiple layers of colour and medium, the surfaces are saturated and deep. This one is all surface, very loose, very simple, with some flowing lines of splashed on pure liquid colour. I think I like it for it's openness and bold incidental lines.
THE (mostly) DAILY DETAIL
I get really jazzed over the little details in artwork. In the process of working, and sometimes long after a piece is finished, there are these small areas that grab me, draw me in, entrance me. It could be the way a texture has been wrought, or how the colours shimmer next to one another, or how quiet the space feels when I focus on it.
