This details shows tiny incisions cut with a thin blade, which was then painted over with colour and scrubbed - leaving a stain, and more saturated colours collected in the grooves.
THE (mostly) DAILY DETAIL
I get really jazzed over the little details in artwork. In the process of working, and sometimes long after a piece is finished, there are these small areas that grab me, draw me in, entrance me. It could be the way a texture has been wrought, or how the colours shimmer next to one another, or how quiet the space feels when I focus on it.
